22 May 1915 - Nos 5 & 6 Cos move to Newingreen Camp
Numbers 5 and 6 Companies moved from West Sandling to a new, tented camp at Newingreen, not far away, commencing at 6 am. The war diary records favourably, "Excellent Camp; under canvas."
A journal of my research into the experiences of my grandfather Charles Leslie Lionel Payne (1892-1975) as a machine-gunner in the Canadian Expeditionary Force during the Great War
